Biography

Chris Carr was born in Michigan and earned a bachelor's degree in 1995 and a law degree in 1999 from the University of Georgia. He served as Commissioner of the Georgia Department of Economic Development from 2013 to 2016 and as Chief of Staff for U.S. Senator Johnny Isakson for six years. He has served as Georgia's Attorney General since 2016, winning statewide elections in 2018 and 2022.

Policy Positions

As Attorney General, Chris Carr has focused on prosecuting violent crime, keeping the economy open, defending Georgia’s election integrity law, supporting law enforcement, protecting Georgians’ liberties, and fighting against the liberal Biden agenda.
